A new Village Manager at Riverina Gums
Riverina Gums Retirement Village has welcomed a new Village Manager, Ann Baker.
Ann is local to the area, having been raised around Wagga Wagga, and currently lives at Coolamon.
She was previously a team leader providing assistance to the homeless, and worked in disability and aged care services for 20 years.
In her first days in the role, she has enjoyed meeting residents and staff, and learning about life at the village.
“All the residents and staff have been so helpful and welcoming,” Ann said.
“Having a range of staff with specialised knowledge to help me has been fantastic.”
As Village Manager, Ann is responsible for ensuring life at Riverina Gums is stress-free and vibrant for everyone.
“I’m really looking forward to having my finger on the pulse, and getting things done,” she said.
“I am enjoying the challenge.”
As one of Wagga Wagga’s most trusted retirement living options, Riverina Gums is home to a warm and welcoming community and a variety of social activities.
“Riverina Gums is a great location with a shopping centre and medical centre within walking distance,” Ann said.
“I get a great sense of community and, among the staff, a genuine respect for the residents.”
