Julie Ramage and Marie Zielinski, Village Personal Care Assistants

Marie Zielinski and Julie Ramage are the Village Personal Care Assistants at Forresters Beach Retirement Village where their roles entail them being involved in all aspects of village life and operations.

Marie and Julie have many favourite moments between them since they began working at Forresters Beach. Marie singles out her favourite moment as judging the best hat at the Melbourne Cup celebrations. Julie loves the day to day life at the village - passing by the village streets and seeing the groups of residents having a chat. Julie describes the friendships she observes at the village as inspirational and loves the community buzz when a social function is taking place. In her spare time, Marie enjoys hiking, reading, going to the movies and going on holidays, whilst you will find Julie painting, drawing, gardening or at the beach on her days off.

Marie also enjoys a chat with the residents and listening to and helping residents whenever she can. Both ladies describe the village's lake with its bird life as their favourite part of the village as well as the gardens.

Marie and Julie both have a hidden talent for languages - Julie has studied Italian and Marie tries to remember the Polish language that she could speak fluently when she was younger. Julie has recently taken up playing the piano so it's only a matter of time before you'll be able to pop along to Forresters Beach for a concert!
