Jean Link - Village Manager

Jean Link has proudly managed Tea Tree Gardens Retirement Village and has been involved in the retirement village industry for almost three decades.

Before coming to Tea Tree Gardens, Jean worked at six other villages, but Tea Tree Gardens really captured her heart. Jean's favourite part of the village is the creek area where residents walk their dogs, sit and chat or watch the abundant bird life - Jean describes this as an absolute joy and says it is a privilege to work at Tea Tree Gardens.

Jean enjoys working with the residents who make the staff feel that they play an integral part in their vibrant community. Jean's favourite moment at the village was when, four years ago, they threw a 100th birthday party for one of the residents. The resident chose not to make a speech; instead he stood up and did his exercise routine! He later performed his routine again on TV.

Jean has lived in the local area for 38 years as a Justice of the Peace enjoys meeting and helping people in the broader community.

In her spare time, Jean likes to read, garden, walks her dog, but mostly enjoys being with her four grandchildren. Whilst Jean says she does not have a sweet tooth (she prefers pasta dishes and pizza to chocolate), she has confessed to being a Richard Gere fan!
