The Laurels Retirement Village is located in Mount Barker, a picturesque town situated in the Mount Lofty Ranges, just 30 minutes from Adelaide.

Mount Barker, with a population of 12,000, is the largest town in the Adelaide Hills and is at the base of Mount Barker. The view from the summit is a must see and looks over the valleys towards Adelaide in one direction and the Murray River and Coorong in the other.

Mount Barker is the home of a number of different businesses including five shopping centres, four supermarkets and many restaurants, cafés and fast food outlets. Mount Barker also has many recreational activities available such as walking trails, an 18 hole golf course and a cinema. Many visitors to Mount Barker enjoy a trip on the popular historic Steam Ranger train.
