From today, South East Queensland restrictions will ease further.

 

What are the restrictions for South East Queensland?

From Friday 23 July:

  • Mandatory mask wearing is still required until 6am Friday 30 July 2021 in the following Local Government Areas: Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Lockyer valley, Somerset, Scenic Rim
  • Private gatherings increased to 100 people maximum including residents, visitors and children.
  • All indoor settings: 1 person per 2 square metres

 

What this means for our Brisbane and Gold Coast Communities?

  • Thank you for continuing to sign in for resident activities and for wearing face masks in the community centre unless you are eating or drinking or have other health related reasons for not doing so.
  • For outdoor activities masks do not have to be worn when maintaining a 1.5m distance from people who are not members of the same household.
  • A full list of exceptions from mask wearing can be found on the Qld Government website. Residents are encouraged to check with their village office if they would like more information and do not have internet access.
  • Visitors, carers and contractors must sign in using the QR code when entering the village.
  • Visitors from hotspots or who have visited any listed exposure site should not enter the village and should follow government advice for testing and isolation.
