RetireAustralia is celebrating one year of providing government and privately funded home care services.
Home care was first launched in RetireAustralia’s four Central Coast villages in July 2017 with the aim of helping residents to stay independent and well for longer.
One year later, 376 hours of support are delivered to 70 clients each month and RetireAustralia is planning to launch home care services in Sydney and Adelaide villages in late 2018.
To mark the milestone, home care clients and RetireAustralia team members joined together for a celebratory morning tea at Tarragal Manor.
Regional Care & Services Manager Ebony Ranclaud said the event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the positive impact the services have had on residents’ lives.
“It was great to take the time to thank our clients for their continued support,” she said.
Resident Trevor Fist welcomed the opportunity to appreciate the hardworking care team.
“I get on very well with them,” he said.
“Ebony is a choice person and Sue and Alison, who work with her, are very good at what they do.”
“Help is available when I need it and I can write freely and live quietly, which I enjoy very much.”
Trevor has lived at Tarragal Manor since 2014 and began receiving home care services in 2018.
