Meet our residents
Pat & Reg, Murray Gardens, New South Wales
At Murray Gardens Retirement Village, residents place most value on community, friendship and security. Luckily, the village can offer all three in abundance.
Residents Pat and Reg say that keeping active and making friends have been easy since they moved into the village.
“It is a good place to live,” Pat said.
“Reg and I love to do everything we can at the community centre. We go to the birthday bashes every month. I love the sing-along, which is once a fortnight. We do the exercise class. We’ve played cards, quoits, Mah-Jong and bocce. It’s important to keep active.”
“We’re very fortunate,” Reg added.
“It’s more satisfying to be in a place like this than to be trying to struggle along by yourself.”
Fellow resident Elizabeth said she found it easy to feel like a part of the community from the outset.
“I found the community very welcoming,” Elizabeth said.
“I was surprised at how many people knocked on the door and said hi.”
As one of Albury’s most sought-after retirement living options, Murray Gardens offers a thriving social environment amid a quiet, leafy setting, close to a wide range of gourmet eateries, shops, clubs and amenities.
“It’s a wonderful place to live and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in Albury,” Pat said.
