RetireAustralia has launched an innovative new program aimed at informing retirees about every aspect of retirement village living.
Retire Ready is a complimentary, web-based guide covering contracts, community, care, lifestyle and how to make a smooth transition to village life.
RetireAustralia’s CEO, Alison Quinn, said the Retirement Living Council’s eight-point plan to improve standards in retirement villages was an inspiration for the program.
“Clarity and certainty are more important than ever for residents, and Retire Ready is designed to provide these things and more,” Alison said.
“We are dedicated to improving the standards of marketing and operation of our villages, and Retire Ready is a big part of that.”
The program, which provides clear, interactive content directly to participants over a five-week period, is designed to clarify all the benefits of retirement village life and address concerns over contracts and costs.
A study by beyondblue found that social isolation is now the biggest issue for elderly Australians, which can be exacerbated by staying at home longer.
“Whether you’re feeling less socially-connected or secure, or are finding it harder to take care of your home, retirement village life could be perfect for you,” Alison said.
“Retire Ready is designed to help you make your next move in an informed and considered way.”
