Exploring the wonders of the universe

Bartonvale village residents at planetarium

Bartonvale Villages’ residents are reaching for the stars and not letting COVID restrictions dampen their quest for adventure. Although numbers were reduced slightly, 19 intrepid travellers recently boarded the village bus and headed for the SA University Planetarium.

First up was a view of Venus and the Southern Cross as the stars and planets were projected onto the domed ceiling. Residents were also treated to a relative view of what the sky would look like, way out in the country. According to the Social Club President “The view was brilliantly breathtaking, and so realistic”.

Before heading back to the village, the residents stopped for a bite at The Slug and Lettuce.  The classically styled English pub was the perfect spot for residents to enjoy a traditional pub lunch which they enjoyed and ate with gusto. They would definitely recommended it as a great place to go.

By all accounts everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day out!
