Topsey, Heather and Tom make their way through the forest
There was excitement in the air when Drayton Villas Retirement Village residents Heather and Tom Claydon, Mary McGill and Topsey Gurski visited O’Reillys Guest House earlier this year.
Topsey had always wanted to visit O’Reilleys and thought the best way to take in the natural beauty was to fly above the ground.
It wasn’t long before she convinced Heather and Tom to join her for a ride on the flying fox.
The adrenaline was pumping as Topsey, Heather and Tom took the plunge on a flying fox with a 180m zip line.
“It was exhilarating when I burst through the forest canopy and across the creek – I was 25m above the ground!
At the age of 92, Topsey holds the record as the oldest person to experience O’Reilly’s flying fox.
