Glengowrie celebrates Autumn Festival

Outside2
A crisp breeze added a hint of seasonal festivity to Glengowrie Retirement Village’s recent Autumn Festival, which saw over 100 people visit the village for a wonderful day of market stalls, food and live music.
For those looking to do some casual shopping, there was plenty to choose from with an array of stalls offering fashion, candles, jewellery, travel information, crafts, baked goods and homemade jams and preserves.
The Glengowrie residents also put their talents on display and ran a stall selling homemade cakes, books, crafts and much more!
The residents also served a sausage sizzle lunch and traditional Devonshire tea as a local jazz trio serenaded the crowd.
“All the stallholders were terrific and everyone in attendance had a fabulous time!” says Anna Zinenko, RetireAustralia’s Promotions and Events Coordinator.
The village is widely celebrated for its vibrant social atmosphere and popular community events, and for those who attended, Autumn Festival was no exception.
“Our annual festivals are a wonderful opportunity to invite the local community into our village and as always, it was a hugely successful day and a lot of fun for everyone involved!” Anna says.
