Pets are a delightful source of companionship for young and old alike. Especially for people with dementia, a small pet is a rewarding experience that provides a range of emotional and physiological benefits.
When Janet Churchett was looking for a suitable retirement village for her mother Margaret, who is suffering from the symptoms of Alzheimers, a pet-friendly policy was essential.
“I wanted mum to feel content and I knew that Clearview Manor Serviced Apartments allowed pets,” Janet says.
“Mum loves her little dog Chelsea and it’s great companionship for her.”
“As soon as I met the Village Manager Lana, I knew mum would be happy living at Clearview Manor and the village has a very nice atmosphere.”
Clearview Manor’s serviced apartments are private and spacious with a large bedroom and adjoining ensuite bathroom. Most rooms are pet-friendly and provide a delightful setting with windows overlooking the gardens.
“Pets create such a calming environment for our residents,” Lana Appleby says.
“Margaret and Chelsea have settled in and Margaret really enjoys the weekly bus trip.”
