Drayton Villas Retirement Village residents love a good excuse to gather for a fundraising event and in October they held a morning tea and raised more than $3,200 for the Toowoomba Hospice.
Promotions and Fundraising Manager for Toowoomba Hospice Mark Munro expressed his gratitude.
“We are very grateful to have Drayton Villas support us so we can continue to provide quality care in partnership with the community for those with a terminal illness,” Mark said.
Administration Assistant Janelle Handley said the residents had been very busy organising the delicious morning tea fundraiser.
“It was fantastic! There were raffles, cake and craft stalls and to add a bit of fun we had a ‘bring and buy’ stall,” Janelle said.
“It’s a very worthwhile cause and it was wonderful to see all the residents coming together.”
