Members of the public are invited to join residents at Murray Gardens when they unveil their latest book at a launch party on Tuesday 31st October.

The collection of life stories, entitled Memories, is a sequel to the popular Reflections book published in 2012.

The latest collection consists of 42 stories by 30 authors, coming to around 100 pages in total, and includes historical photos.

Village Manager Chiq Walsh said residents were excited about releasing the book, having been working on it for some time.

“Residents have been working together wonderfully to finish the book,” Chiq said.

“It will be an interesting read and a fantastic insight into the lives of our residents and the history of the area.”

In addition to residents and members of the public, Albury City mayor Kevin Mack will attend the event in an official capacity.

Murray Gardens resident Audrey Davidson collated stories for Reflections, and has been instrumental in putting together the upcoming release.

“I got to thinking that a lot of people in retirement villages have stories, memories and reflections that should be written down,” Audrey said.

Audrey and her fellow residents are ready to party on Tuesday 31st October, and everyone is welcome to attend and join in the fun.

The event kicks off at 4pm in the village community centre, 36 Mountford Crescent, Albury.
