Fright night at Forresters Beach

Friday 13th 2
On Friday the 13th, things took a turn for the scary as the community at Forresters Beach Retirement Village got all ghouled up for their regular happy hour.
Witches, aliens, ghosts and mad scientists filled the Lake House to socialise and admire the elaborate costumes and decorations on display before feasting on pizza and fish cocktails as the night went on.
Everyone in attendance had a terrific time enjoying the spooky festivities, which were coordinated by the village’s social committee.
Member Sue Grundy says, “Around 100 people came – it blew out to a huge success!”
“Our social committee is becoming very active and this was the first of many wonderful upcoming events.”
“We’ve been brainstorming and we’ve come up with the zaniest ideas, and it’s all thanks to our fearless leader, Michele, who is the driving force behind everything.”
Some of the village’s upcoming events include a bus trip to Vivid Sydney, a celebration for the Queen’s Birthday and a 60s- and 70s-themed retro night.
