RetireAustralia COVID-19 update: Adelaide easing of restrictions

Published: 5 July 2021

The South Australian government has lifted temporary COVID-19 restrictions that were put in place last week. This is good news for our Adelaide retirement communities. Here’s a quick update of what this means for us.

From midnight Monday 5 July:

Community centres, sporting and social activities:
• All community centres and facilities will reopen.
• All sporting and social activities, including those involving dancing and singing, will resume with a density limit of 3 people per 4sqm. If this impacts activity numbers, you will be notified.
• No shared food or drink e.g. share plates.
• Please book ahead to secure your place for activities, check-in and practise social distancing.

Visitors:
• Care apartment visitors must continue to enter via the main community centre entrance and comply with our check in procedure.
• There are no longer specific restrictions on the maximum number of visitors to independent living units and care apartments.
• All maintenance and refurbishment contractors are required to maintain social distancing and follow strict COVIDSafe protocols.
