To halt the spread of COVID-19, the Queensland Government has extended restrictions across South East Queensland in 11 Local Government Areas.
The restrictions are now scheduled to extend to 6am Friday 23rd July in the areas of:
Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Lockyer valley, Somerset, Scenic Rim
What are the current restrictions for these areas?
- Mandatory mask wearing until 6am Friday 23 July 2021
- 1 person per 4 square metres in hospitality venues
- People must be seated in cafés and restaurants to eat and drink
- Limit of 30 people at household gatherings (including residents, children and visitors)
- No dancing permitted in venues except for wedding parties up to 20 people
- Only 100 people permitted at funerals
The rest of Queensland
Restrictions will ease for Townsville, Magnetic Island and Palm Island at 6am Friday 16 July and will be the same as for the rest of Queensland
