Residents of Riverina Gums Retirement Village are proud to live in Wagga Wagga’s first retirement village and even more – to celebrate 30 years on!
On 30 April 2021, 60 residents, team members and guests regaled in a celebratory event with RetireAustralia’s CEO, Brett Robinson, COO, Simon Fawssett, Assisting Regional Manager, Leonie Karlsson.
Riverina Gums Resident Chair said, “We are a family here. We love where we live, so why not celebrate it?”
The official ceremony included, speeches from residents and installation of two new plaques, one to commemorate past and present residents, the other from the National Services Association.
“Thirty years is a long time for a village to be operating and we are immensely proud of the work the team have done to create such a community and home for our residents of Riverina Gums,” Brett proudly noted.
And with a delicious barbeque to enjoy after the formalities – the whole community rejoiced in its enrichment of the Riverina Gums legacy, which they hope will continue for the next 30 years and more.
