RetireAustralia supports AEIOU

On Friday 1 June, RetireAustralia’s Brisbane Support Office dug deep to raise more than $8,000 for AEIOU Foundation for Children with Autism.

The main event was a charity auction where team members donated and bid on a range of terrific prizes, raising almost $1,300.

RetireAustralia matched the money raised and several others made significant donations to reach a grand total of $8,855.44.

Some of the prizes up for grabs included gift sets, restaurant vouchers, gift cards and lunch with a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

RetireAustralia CEO Alison Quinn said the team was eager to support AEIOU due to the passionate advocacy of General Manager Sales and Marketing Tammie Carter, whose five-year-old son has autism.

“Many of us have witnessed Tammie’s journey with her son Oliver firsthand and have seen the immense impact AEIOU’s early intervention program has had on their family,” she said.

“We hope our contribution helps to continue this important work and build brighter futures for children like Ollie.”

Tammie said she was touched by the support from her colleagues on the night.

“Ollie has made enormous strides since starting at AEIOU three years ago and it has made the world of difference for my family.

“I am thrilled the team rallied around this great cause to help other families in the same situation.”
