Step out and smell the beans

While residents of The Rise will have everything they need at their doorstep when they move into Wood Glen, part of the joy of buying a new home is exploring its surroundings.

Thankfully, there’s plenty on offer when it comes to one of the greatest of life’s little pleasures – top coffee. When you are living at Wood Glen, it’s so easy to arrange a catch-up with friends or entertain new ones.

Sit & Chat, The Coffee Club, The Shed Café, Aromas At The Fair, and Jamaica Blue are just some of the options on offer directly across the road at Erina Fair, the Central Coast’s largest shopping centre.

With Myer, Kmart, Target, Big W, Best & Less, Woolworths, Coles and ALDI, a Hoyts cinema, and more than 300 speciality stores, it’s also the Coast’s go-to destination for everything from last-minute Christmas shopping to whiling away a few hours with the family.

A short drive away, you can almost smell the morning’s coffee beans being brewed along the main streets of Terrigal and Avoca Beach, especially at brunch on a lazy weekend.

Both are blessed with a vibrant foodie scene, with myriad nooks for enjoying a casual plate and coffee to more formal fare. The delightful views and the Coast’s laidback charm are part of the magic.

Like Minds Avoca Beach, The Point Cafe, Sul Rondo, and Avoca Sands Cafe are just a few of Avoca Beach’s well-known meeting places. As an aside, Like Minds has a veggie patch on site and scraps are composted or fed to the neighbourhood chickens and worm farms.

Terrigal day-trippers are also spoilt for choice. The family-run Bellyfish, which promises an all-day brunch by the sea, Driftwood Terrigal, and Cove Cafe are among many great places to sit, sip and start the day in the best possible way.
