Statement of Compliance for Suppliers

On behalf of my business and acting as its authorised representative, I hereby acknowledge and affirm the following in relation to my business (whether the business is a company, sole trader or other entity) (collectively the ‘Supplier’), and the Supplier’s employees, contractors, sub-contractors, agents and sub-agents (‘Supplier’s Personnel’) who from time to time provide goods and or services to RetireAustralia:

Insurances: the Supplier confirms that it holds the relevant insurance in the amounts as listed:

  • Public Liability: $20,000,000
  • Product Liability: $10,000,000 – Applicable to the extent that the Supplier is providing goods.
  • Professional Indemnity: $10,000,000 – Applicable to the extent that the Supplier is providing professional services.
  • Relevant Workers Compensation Insurance: (e.g. WorkCover) – Applicable to the extent that the Supplier has Personnel.
  • Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance: Applicable to any motor vehicle that is bought onto a RetireAustralia site or used by the Supplier to transport Participants.
  • Personal Injury insurance: $1,000,000 – Applicable to the extent that the Supplier is a Sole Trader and does not hold Workers Compensation Insurance.

Licensing and Qualifications: the Supplier confirms the following:

  • all the Supplier’s Personnel are engaged by the Supplier;
  • the Supplier, or the Supplier’s Personnel, provide goods and or services to RetireAustralia;
  • the Supplier’s Personnel hold the appropriate licenses and qualifications as required by the relevant regulatory authorities for the State in which the RetireAustralia site is located; and
  • the Supplier’s Personnel possess the necessary skills and expertise to perform the designated tasks safely and effectively without supervision.

National Police Record: the Supplier confirms that the Supplier’s Personnel who attend RetireAustralia sites have undergone screening for a clear National Police Record as per RetireAustralia’s requirements. The Supplier prioritises safety and security, and confirms the Supplier’s Personnel have the necessary clearance to work on-site.

Work Health and Safety (WHS) Training: the Supplier certifies that all the Supplier’s Personnel involved in the provision of the goods and or services at RetireAustralia sites have received adequate WHS training and are fully aware of their responsibilities regarding health and safety in the workplace. They understand the importance of adhering to safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.

Site Induction: the Supplier acknowledges the importance of site-specific knowledge and procedures for ensuring the safety of all of the Supplier’s Personnel on-site. Therefore, the Supplier commits to ensuring all the Supplier’s Personnel complete the site induction (via QR Code) upon arrival at the RetireAustralia site.

Tools and Equipment: the Supplier confirms that the Supplier’s Personnel have access to and utilise fit-for-purpose tools and equipment suitable for the tasks assigned and that they are trained and licenced to use the tools and equipment. The Supplier maintains its tools and equipment to industry standards to ensure they are safe and efficient for use on-site, including electrical testing and tagging of electrical equipment / power tools.

Aged Care Requirements: the Supplier confirms it, and the Supplier’s Personnel, are aware of, and will comply with, the respective obligations with regard to the delivery of goods and services under the Aged Care Act to RetireAustralia residents (‘Participants’), including but not limited to:

  • meeting their obligations and complying with RetireAustralia’s Code of Conduct and the Aged Care Code of Conduct;
  • delivering goods and services in a lawful, competent and professional manner;
  • ensuring the Supplier reports any incidents or concerns, regarding goods or services provided by the Supplier’s Personnel to Participants, to RetireAustralia as soon as practicable;
  • ensuring the Supplier retains the necessary records (e.g. timesheets) for it to substantiate the provision of goods and services;
  • ensuring that the Supplier, and the Supplier’s Personnel, hold all necessary insurance to provide the goods and services;
  • meeting the obligations associated with the Supplier being an Associated Provider under the Aged Care Act;
  • notifying RetireAustralia of any changes to the Supplier’s information that is required to be stored on the Department of Health and Aged Care’s Provider Register (e.g. ABN, address etc.); and
  • complying with the privacy requirements relating to Participants under the Aged Care Act.

 

I, on behalf of the Supplier, affirm that I have read and understood the obligations outlined in this statement. The Supplier accepts full responsibility for ensuring that it and the Supplier’s Personnel comply with these requirements throughout the duration of its engagement with RetireAustralia.
