COVID-19 update: Sydney Outbreak - Restrictions extended for regional NSW

To protect the people of NSW from the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, previous restrictions for Greater Sydney now apply to regional NSW and have been extended by the Government to at least midnight on Friday 9 July.

Government restrictions that apply to our communities are:

Visitors to households will be limited to 5 guests – including children.
Only two visitors a day in the resident’s room for aged care.
Masks will be compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings, including workplaces, and at organised outdoor events
Drinking while standing at indoor venues will not be allowed
Singing and dancing groups will not be allowed
The one person per four square metre rule will be re-introduced for all indoor and outdoor settings

What does this mean for our regional Villages?

What has RetireAustralia done to help protect the community?

Staff will wear masks while indoors in villages.
Dining rooms, cafés, community centres and facilities remain open.
Activities will continue with the 4sqm rule in place. If this restriction impacts activity numbers, you will be notified.
Safe sales inspections will continue with COVIDSafe protocols in place.

What does this mean for residents?

All residents and visitors must wear a mask when accessing the community centre and any indoor village amenities.
Maximum of five visitors at a time and in your home only.
Visitors do not need to wear a mask in your home, unless they are delivering home care or medical services.
Please screen your visitors and keep up-to-date with emerging COVID-19 hotspots. Village noticeboards will be updated with this information daily.
If you have been in the Greater Sydney region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong) on or after June 21 please follow the stay-at-home orders for a period of 14 days after leaving Greater Sydney.
